Miso Tasty Yaki Udon Noodles with Crispy Beef Strips, Crushed Peanuts & Chives Recipe

Our Udon Noodle Kit is based on the classic street food dish yaki udon. Typically found in busy food markets in Japan, this is a stir-fry noodle that is cooked on a hot plate called a Teppanyaki. In our spicy Udon Noodle Meal Kit, our signature miso paste is enhanced with smoky chilli and softened by rich sesame oil - all you have to do is add left overs or grab something from your food cupboard!

One of our favourites is crispy beef strips with udon with a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and chopped chives to finish!

This is one of our favourite ways of enjoying our classic Yaki Udon Noodle Kit. So many contrasting textures and flavours make this a complete taste explosion! If you are feeling extra indulgent, we recommend adding some grated cheese on top of your yaki udon, sounds weird but it unlocks the ultimate umami power!

Instructions

  1. Cut your beef into strips and lightly coat with the cornflour.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and add the beef strips. Fry for a few minutes until cooked through.
  3. Add your udon noodles to the pan, stirring for a few minutes until the noodles loosen.
  4. Mix together the sauce ingredients from the Yaki Udon Noodle Kit, then pour into the pan and stir through so all the noodles are covered in sauce.
  5. Turn the heat up in the pan for 30 seconds, and let the noodles slightly catch before plating up.
  6. Top with the crushed peanuts and chives.
  7. Enjoy!

Notes
