Miso Tasty Udon noodles with crispy beef strips, crushed peanuts & chives

Our Udon Noodle Kit is based on the classic street food dish yaki udon. Typically found in busy food markets in Japan, this is a stir-fry noodle that is cooked on a hot plate called a Teppanyaki. In our spicy Udon Noodle Meal Kit, our signature miso paste is enhanced with smoky chilli and softened by rich sesame oil – all you have to do is add left overs or grab something from your food cupboard!

One of our favourites is crispy beef strips with udon with a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and chopped chives to finish!

Crispy beef, crushed peanuts and chive topping:

– 50g beef steak, cut in to strips and covered with 1 teaspoon cornflour
– handful of crushed peanuts
– handful of chopped chives

Simply heat oil in a pan and add beef strips – cooking for few minutes until cooked through.  Add your udon noodles to the pan, stirring for a few minutes until noodles loosen. Mix together the miso paste, smoky chilli paste and sesame oil then pour into the pan and stir through. Turn up the heat for 30 seconds and let the noodles catch slightly before plating up! Top with crushed peanuts and chopped chives and enjoy!

Twist: why not add grated cheese on top of your fried udon? Umami power!
