Prawn Katsu Curry Recipe

A firm favourite at Miso Tasty HQ, our Crispy Prawn Katsu Curry recipe is perfect for a quick evening meal with plenty of wow factor!  Make sure you have the oil nice and hot before you start frying, as you don’t want to cook the prawns for too so that they stay nice and juicy.

Ingredients (For 2)

  • 1 x Miso Tasty Katsu Curry Kit
  • 8 x large raw shell-less king prawns
  • 1 x egg, whisked
  • Serve with cooked rice & veggies

  1. Pour the panko breadcrumbs into a bowl.
  2. Dip the prawns into the whisked egg before coating all over in panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Fill a saucepan with cooking oil so that it is at least 3-4cm deep and heat until the oil sizzles when you drop a couple of breadcrumbs on to the surface.
  4. Carefully cook the prawns for 2 minutes until golden brown. Leave on a wire rack to rest.
  5. Empty the sachet of Miso Tasty Curry Sauce into a separate saucepan and heat up with 120ml of water until bubbling hot.
  6. Plate up the rice and vegetables or salad with the curry sauce and place the crispy prawns on top.
  7. Enjoy!
