Miso Bread & Butter Hot Cross Pudding Recipe

When you have too many leftover hot cross buns, (is that really a thing? it could happen!)  and you want to make a quick pudding that’s a total crowd pleaser for your garden party this Easter, have a crack at this. Takes just 5 mins to prep the ingredients and then just 30 mins in the oven. Serve with more cream or even ice cream! The miso in the custard mix just deepens the sweet flavours and adds a nice little Miso Tasty twist.

Ingredients (Makes 6 generous portions)

  • 3-4 leftover hot cross buns, sliced
  • 50g sultanas
  • 200ml milk (or milk alternative)
  • 50ml cream (or cream alternative)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp nutmeg grated
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 1 large tbsp of white miso paste
